Karate Kids make the grade at Event
Bushido Karate Club has just had a huge success at last week’s SKIF Ireland Grading and Training Seminars under Kancho Kanazawa 10th Sensei (2006 SKIF World Champion). We had over 25 kids between the age of 4-13 from our Douglas and Mahon Branches grading, and all were successful. One student in particular, Cormac McCarthy Hann did extremely well receiving a double grade. Double Gradings are very rare and only awarded to exceptional students. This was the first visit to Ireland for Kancho Kanazawa’s youngest son Fumitoshi Kanazawa Sensei. Fumitoshi Kanazawa Sensei was the SKIF World Champion in 2006 and All-Japan SKIF Champion 7 times, the young students of Bushido Karate Club enjoyed the experience of the whole seminar and training alongside over a thousand of other young students from around the country throughout the whole seminar. SKIF Ireland is privileged to have such high standard instructors travelling from Tokyo, Japan twice a year to perform gradings.
This year was Kancho's 60th instructors from SKIF Japan ensures that all students from SKIF Ireland have a worldwide recognised grade which will benefit their Karate-Do development. Bushido Karate Club students are training hard for the upcoming Kanazawa Cup which will see the students compete against students from all of Ireland.
