Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Dear Parent, I hope this message finds you safe and well. While the club is looking forward to the day we can get back into the physical dojo, the health and safety of our members and parents are our number one priority always and I will not hesitate to act in that interest. Since the beginning of this pandemic, I have monitored the situation closely and sought advice from several health professionals on the front lines including our club COVID-19 officer who is a General Practitioner Doctor about getting the best advice for the club and the club is grateful for that advice and time. Currently, Dublin on Level 3 and Cork appears to be heading in the direction of potential Level 3 lockdown in the coming weeks so it makes no sense to attempt a return to the dojo at this time. Please note we will assess the situation prior to any return to the dojo and all precautions will be taken to ensure your safety. Until then I would ask for your continued support in our Zoom classes where you can continue training from the safety of your own home. I can understand its not ideal training over webcam but it is the situation we are in and the club needs your support. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me. Oss Aaron Bushido Karate Club

Dear Parent,

I hope this message finds you and your family safe and well. I would like to thank all those students who are taking part in our weekly zoom session on Friday’s and I hope you are enjoying them. With the current government restrictions relaxing a little, they are saying that clubs could return on the 29th June, however I feel this is too soon as the safety and well-being of all my members is my first priority, therefore I have made the decision that we will not be returning to the dojo until a minimum of September and will continue with zoom sessions until such time as we are back in the dojo. I will re-assess the situation closer to September. If you have not taken part in our zoom classes I would recommend that you try it out. If you want to try them out visit Register for Bushido Zoom Classes . Stay Safe and I look forward to seeing you all in the virtual dojo. If you have any questions, please let me know. Oss! Aaron

Dear Parent,

I hope that you and your families are keeping safe during this unprecedented time.  While we initially aimed to re-open our doors in April however as this COVID-19 pandemic is not subsiding and further restrictions and social distancing recommendations from the HSE are impending, the club will remain closed until further notice.  During this time, please keep positive, look out for each other, practice at home, and we will get through this.  I miss seeing you all in class, and I look forward to seeing you soon in the dojo.

Dear Parent,

it is with great regret that due to the recent Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak and new cases appearing in Cork City.  Bushido Karate Club has made the decision in the interest of our member's safety to cancel all classes for the remainder of March.  All training fees for March will be credited so if you paid for March & April, you are now covered for April & May etc.  I will monitor the situation closely with the information being released by the HSE and I will advise at a later date if classes will resume on the 1st April or will the cancellation period be extended.  This is an unfortunate situation that is completely outside of our control and we apologise for any inconvenience caused.
